Cincinnati Announces Hoop It Up 3x3 Basketball Tournament

MAYOR AFTAB AND THE CINCINNATI RECREATION COMMISSION ANNOUNCE HOOP IT UP 3X3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

CINCINNATI, OH — Mayor Aftab and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission announced today
that they will be hosting a Hoop It Up 3x3 Basketball Tournament on August 6th at City Hall.
Hoop It Up, the iconic 3x3 basketball tour since 1989, is owned by NBA legend Kevin Garnett.
The event will take place at Cincinnati’s City Hall at 801 Plum St. Tournament games will run
from 10 AM to 6 PM. This event will also feature a youth skills clinic at Laurel Park from 9 AM-
12 PM for youth of all ages.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kevin Garnett and his iconic, longstanding basketball
organization, one that is known worldwide for engaging youth, fostering community and
promoting health and wellbeing,” Mayor Aftab said. “I am so looking forward to bringing Hoop
it Up to Cincinnati for our first 3 on 3 basketball tournament.”

Teams will be competing in age divisions from 13 to 19. Hoop It Up 3x3 basketball consists of
rosters of up to five players. Each participating team is guaranteed at least four games during
the tournament. The registration is free to residents of Cincinnati at HoopItUp.com. Space is
limited. Non-residents must pay a $75/team registration fee.

The CRC Youth Skills Clinic will be catered to kids of all ages and skill levels. Back-to-School
vendors will also be present to help students prepare to return to school this Fall. If you’re
